Terms of Use

Last updated · October 12, 2026

These Terms of Use ("terms") govern your use of ToolFinder ("the site", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using the site you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Plain-English summary: ToolFinder is free to use for personal, non-commercial browsing. Don't repackage or resell the site, don't try to break it, and understand that we list third-party tools at your own risk.

1. The service

ToolFinder is a curated web directory that helps you discover AI and productivity tools. It runs entirely in your browser and is provided to you at no charge for personal, non-commercial use.

Because the service runs in a web browser, there is no per-machine install limit; the limit is per-person. A single person may use the service from any number of devices, but you may not share access with others as if you were the operator.

2. License to use the site

You may use ToolFinder for personal, non-commercial purposes in the ordinary way a website is meant to be used in a browser.

You may not, except as part of normal in-browser use of ToolFinder itself:

3. Intellectual property

All components of the site — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, text, graphics, and the curated tool descriptions — are copyrighted by the operator and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. The names, logos, and trademarks of third-party tools listed on the site are the property of their respective owners and are used here solely for identification and reference.

4. Third-party tools & external links

ToolFinder is a directory. Almost every card on the site links out to a third-party website that we do not own or control. We pick reputable tools, but we do not endorse them and we are not responsible for:

Your use of any third-party tool is solely between you and that tool's operator.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Disclaimer of warranty

The site, all accompanying files, data and materials are distributed "AS IS" and with no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that defects will be corrected. The user must assume all risk of using the site. This disclaimer of warranty constitutes an essential part of the agreement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the operator be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the site.

In particular, the operator does not authorize you to use ToolFinder in applications or systems where its failure to perform can reasonably be expected to result in a physical injury, or in loss of life. Any such use is entirely at your own risk, and you agree to hold the operator harmless from any claims or losses relating to such unauthorized use.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your breach of these terms or your use of the site.

9. Changes to the service or to these terms

We may revise the service, its features, or these terms at any time. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means that you accept the revised terms.

Where mandatory consumer law in your country gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights prevail over anything in these terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms. You may stop using the site at any time.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the operator's place of business, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction, save where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

12. Contact
